Wayne Stein announced today that he's giving up the baseball job at St. Charles Catholic after two successive championships. He will remain A.D. and head 'ball coach.
Baseball coach will be Ty Monica, he is already at St Charles Catholic.

I always thought out of the 2…Fountianbleu was the fancy/political school and Lakeshore was more blue collar and down to earth neighborhoods. When did this change?
And when Christian Monson was principal a few years ago at Lakeshore, they seemed like a tightly run school. What changed?

He left and Jarrell was promoted. Monson was great and well respected by students, teachers and parents. Complete opposite with Jarrell.

Complete 180 turn for the school, teachers are leaving in because of her.
Thank god for our parent group who made sure the boys had everything they needed this season. Admin just tapped their foot and checked their Apple watches, complaining about having to be at our ball games. It’s a great program with a strong, passionate fan base that needs to right this ship pretty quickly.
As far as the tape, it’s gone to the higher ups and we are just sitting back and waiting to see what is done with it.

It would be the opposite, minus Lakeshore having Lacombe kids.

From what I have put together, not first hand knowledge:
1. Parents fighting in the stands
2. Stepping on first baseman's foot/ankle by runner(s)
3. Barreling over a catcher for no reason.

I would put it out on social media or give it to a local news outlet and turn up the heat on the administration, hopefully the count in charge gets fired.

I agree. The school board is going to try and sweep it under the rug. The longer you wait, the more this will die down and you will lose the momentum.

What's up with Sulphur politics? Who are the big dicks there now? Its my Alma mater but haven't been close to in in 30 years. My brother used to coach there in a different sport.

Does Roger Burgess still practice law?

No idea, just know I have been told the booster club runs things and even decides starters some of the time. Have no idea how true it is but the last coach had kind of turned things around and they still ran him off.
Hired the welsh coach and already hear bitching about how he is trying to lay down the law.
No idea who the big dicks are, never been around Sulphur too much

Absolutely NO parents fought in the stands. The only thing that happened in the stands is after the game when Iota guy rolled up his poncho and threw it at the ladies in the concession stand. And lots of jawing when Iota wouldn’t come out and shake hands after the game.
One of our players did mow down their catcher. It was horrible. No one condones this. He was ejected and suspended for the next game. Plus administration discipline and his parents. But they are kids and he made a boneheaded mistake and was punished. The game had gotten very tense by that time.
Iota kept purposely stepping on our first baseman’s foot. Fans cursing at our players down first base line. Picture is now on our Lakeshore Baseball Facebook Page. (No, my dumbass doesn’t know how to link it here lol)
The list is a mile long. Baseball is a brotherhood. Once one nasty thing happens, lots of times it snowballs, especially with teenage boys. They rally around each other. Bottom line is it happened and consequences were had.

I have TONS of family that went to St. Thomas More, even kin by marriage to a former principal. The school is known as a brat school lol, HOWEVER, they have retained two coaches (Broussard in basketball and Hightower in football) since the school was STARTED in 1983, along with the softball and volleyball coaches still there from at least 2013. I wonder how much they put up with!
Hightower is not the first FB coach at STM, that was Jacob Byler. Hightower took over in 1986
However DC Terry Tidwell has been there since the beginning. he came over with Byler from Cathedral Carmel HS when it was closed to open STM in 1982
Danny Broussard is the 2nd boys basketball coach, he took over in 83. His brother Rickey Broussard coached the first season of the school.
but your points are valid
STM Admin is very supportive of their coaches, but they have had some definite troublemaker parents through the years. The faculty and admin are very tight knit, they collectively dont put up with parents causing trouble, and the parents themselves do a good job of policing parent behavior for the most part.
winning helps but also having longstanding traditions, cultivating long time career commitments from coaches and doing a great job of hiring young alumni to keep things fresh has gone a long way to maintaining stability and sustainability at STM.
Ironically the last STM program to suffer from parent meddling and bad behavior was boys baseball and the solution was to hire veteran HC Gary Perkins and empower him to clean up the mess. which he did

Wasn't Danny the assistant during the first year? Crazy how they gambled on a dude who looked like one of the players little brother haha. Boy did that pay off. I figured they had a lot of troublesome parents but Kim just ignored them lol. Love the culture of that school.

No clue. Do the Navarre kids still live in Sulphur? Are the Martin and Prince offspring still around?
When I played, I would have been embarrassed as hell if my parents approached the coach with anything.

I don’t have a dog in this but not sure Boomer has always been the angel as portrayed here. If my memory is correct, he got in a brawl with another coach in the past at a batting cage and was let go from Hannan for another secretive issue. Just saying
