Sulphur’s head coach has retired. Supposedly they have made a hire that will be announced by Friday. It’s going to shock a lot of people if true
.

Very interesting. Can't wait to hear who it is.

On another note, we have no lights or covered bleachers. It ridiculous. All games are at 4:00.

I can't believe some of the businesses owned by the parents have not taken care of the covered bleachers. Lights are expensive but they could also make it happen.

It’s a north La coach. Supposedly. It’s obviously not for me to disclose especially since I could have been told some bullshite.

120k for the lights. Not sure who’s parent or business is going to foot those kinds of numbers.

i dont understand wh these admin even give the parents the time of day. I can see if its an abuse thing, if the team is losing all the time and lack of discpline.....but to complain because your son isnt getting playing time or got suspended....frick you...go somewhere else if you dont like it. its insane to me

I don't know the actors here, but I've seen this enough to guess that this is 95% political.

Parents are probably friends with a school board member or are somehow politically connected. Parents complains to district, district steps on principal's neck, so principal steps on coach's neck.

Districts don't support principals and principals don't support teachers and coaches. Especially at the high school level in SELA. It's a big reason why pretty much every HS out there has multiple openings on the faculty / coaching staff.

It’s St Tammany. They probably tell them “well if Lakeshore gets turf and lights we need to make sure Covington, Mandeville, Slidell, Pearl River, Fontainebleau, Northshore, Salmen get turf and lights too” and refuse to take the money

Other than Lakeshore and Salmen, don't all of the schools baseball facilities have lights? I know they just finished putting in turf on all the football fields.

Sounds about right, I was talking to Northshore's, now Mandeville's, coach and he wanted to redo the lights at Northshore. The lights there are terrible.

Big reason why St Bernard isn't getting another high school.

We’ve tried to fundraise. It it’s a lot of money. Additionally, the school board should provide it like they do the other schools. Parent donations fund this program a TON.

AD and Principal in deep on this one. There is a audio recording of them both addressing the team after the Iota series calling the team classless and a bunch of Assholes.(The AD was speaking and the Principal by her side) Granted the Iota series was intense. Both teams took shots at one another, it was chippy. IF this audio surfaces it could be a MAJOR problem for the AD and Principal.

Iota was both ways. I watched on here as our team and parents got called names because of the shite Iota posted. Both sides got out of hand. Our player got ejected, suspended (rightly so)and wrote letters of apology to Iota. Not one person on our side would defend his action.
Their fans threw shite at the ladies in the concession stand, cursed our players. I could go on but it’s over. It was bad. Would love to move on from that because we really do have good kids who work their assess off for this sport.

There is an audio. We parents had went in that Monday to talk about how to move on and what she would like to see as consequences for Iota and she wouldn’t discuss that with us. She turned her nose up at us and five minutes later tore into the whole team…said things that were way over the line.

That can go both ways. All sports also have shitty coaches/admins for the parents to deal with too.

I feel bad for Boomer. Our LHS coaches and teacher will tell you the job is too big for Jarrell.
