Lakers are very dumb

I am a Lakers fan and their current 5 game winning streak could set back the franchise a few years. Just a week ago they were two games in the clear for lottery pick two. This would allow one team to get lucky and jump them but they would still get a very good player at 3. Even worse is that pick, Deng and maybe Nance could have landed them Paul George. If they finish forth or worst after the lottery then the Sixers get the pick.
This doesn't surprise however as I have always thought of Magic as an idiot. He is probably pushing for wins against teams trying to tank.

Luke Walton played Metta World Peace and Corey Brewer for like the entire 4th quarter against the Spurs and they still won.

If I am not mistaken, they have no mathematical chance of dropping down 4th or lower now.

They can drop to as low as 6th after the lottery and loose their pick. Had they lost their last five they would be in a great position.

They did the same last night but DLo just had to rattle in a three. At this point, I'm pessimistic that we get a Top 3 pick. Phoenix is playing this the right way, the Lakers aren't

With how deep this draft is, there isn't much of a talent gap between the top 6-7 picks

I believe the Lakers pick is top 3 protected. They lose it to the 76ers if it falls 4th or lower. Someone else can correct me if I'm wrong.

Not only do they lose this pick if they drop to 4th or lower, they also lose their 2019 first round pick unprotected to Orlando
