Nope, second. Gary McCord's was on a par 5. Kevin Na's was on a par 4. I'm a statistician for the PGA TOUR and we worked on putting the stat together earlier today to put it on TV.

I stand corrected. This evening when I was watching, they listed Daly, McCord, Na. They did't mention that McCord's was on a par 5.

43 players have shot a 12 or worse since 1983. John Daly is actually on the list four times.

Yeah, you gotta feel sorry for Rory right now. In my opinion, arguably the worst of them all is Billy Casper's 14 on a par 3 at Augusta.

And I have to say to see a 16 on a scorecard and still to have shot an 80 is pretty damn impressive.

I took a 13 once on a 320-yard par 4. Drive went right, behind a small stand of short trees. Thought I could lob over them. Caught a limb and in it went. Two hacks lodged it between two trunks. Unplayable. Took a drop, but nearest relief was no bargain either. Hit another limb just trying to get it in the clear. In it went again. Hacked it out two shots later. On the green in 10, then 3-putted. Took a while to properly add 'em up. Still shot 82 that day though.

Only a tour player can card a 16 and STILL shoot an 80 for the round.

why did he not retee again? there is no way he was getting out of the woods.
He could have:
Hit 1 in the woods, dropped 2, hit 3 in the woods, dropped 4, hit it in the fairway 5, knock it on the green 6, and 2 putted for an 8.
