Was thinking the same thing last night. Wonder if the team doctors get orders to refuse to clear him to play for the rest of the series.

They could take a page from Miami's book with Bosh. You can "start" Love so his feelings aren't hurt, then give him the quick hook so you can bring him in with the second unit at the end of the 1stQ./early 2Q.

He could be the focal point of the second unit. That way you're getting the most out of him.

Sports - when everyone forms opinions with a sample size of one.

A home game when the Warriors are overconfident is a much different situation than a game @ Golden State.

If he ever bothered to learn how to play defense, he wouldn't have to sit the bench while competent players do all the work.

Agreed. The Warriors were gonna get blown out in game 3 even if nobody played for love and it was a 4 on 5 game

I know that the easy to thing to do here is blame Love for their struggles and attribute the Game 3 success to his absence, but Golden State would've gotten blown out last night regardless. The Cavs were the hungry, desperate team, and the Warriors were comfortable with a 2-0 lead. Golden State, especially the Splash Bros, played soft as baby poo last night. The end result had nothing to do with one player.

Who's overreacting? Everyone knows GS is still firmly in control of the series because the Cavs have shown nothing on the road.

Doesn't really matter how well the Cavs play at home. GS can forfeit these away games and as long as they play like they've been playing at home they have this series.

This thread is discussing how the Cavs can improve their miniscule chances. They have no chance unless Kevin Love can contribute. Love playing with the second unit is one way for him to contribute.

People are overreacting to Love not playing. The Cavs were winning that game with or without him, and I'm a known Love hater.

Yeah Love caused the disappearance of Thompson, Smith and Jefferson in games 1&2.

I think pretty much everyone agrees with that.

So the Cavs finally competently defend a pick and roll and Tristan Thompson becomes a rebounding machine. I don't think that is due to the Cavs being at home. Also, it isn't a sample size of one. Love is objectively over seasons of data one of the worst pick and roll defenders in the league.
