crazy that now people are getting hype about Canelo vs GGG when mayweather got shite for "not facing anyone"

he's the best boxer of all time, and he made everyone he faced look like shite

Jose Luis Castillo was robbed against Mayweather, Leonard,Hearns, Robinson and Armstrong would've killed Mayweather at 147

Leonard I have mixed feelings as he bought judges I truly believe. It's strange he never lost a fight in Vegas 2 specific fights come to mind.

Hearns would've hurt him his jab was scary and his arm length would've been hard to defend. Emmanuel cost Hearns the 1st Leonard fight and Hagler fight by bad ring instructions. He learned his lessons which made Lewis that much better.

Let me sum up Floyd Mayweather for you:

Jab. Flinch back. Run. Repeat.

Too bad Floyd is boring as hell. Plus he beat a young 21 year old Canelo .....

All classes or at welterweight?

PFP, I'll probably always be a Roy Jones, Jr. guy. When they were contemporaries, no boxing fans or commentators ever even intimated that Floyd (as good as he was) was as good as RJJ.

Why doesn't every boxer do that if it can get you undefeated and hundreds of millions of dollars?

I think Floyd gets this criticism because his technical brilliance doesn't always translate into an entertaining style. In most sports, technical brilliance is a close approximation of entertaining.

Casual fans don't like to watch Winky Wright and James Toney parry punches and counter. They don't want to watch Lennox Lewis' baseball bat jab keep all comers nowhere near him. They want to watch Ward and Gatti slug it out and send each other to the hospital. Just my opinion.

49 wins, 23 decisions. He's also a pretty shitty human being. The tendency is to run him down because his style isn't always fun to watch, and he makes it difficult to root for him.

Not only that. If every fighter knows that's all he's going to do, he shouldn't be that hard to beat.

Strange career for a GOAT.

Least amount of interest I've ever seen in 30 years of watching boxing for a fighter.

The one one fight people gave a shite about was because of Pacquiao. And yet, while most all of Pac's fight were thrilling...wouldn't you know, he fights Mayweather and the fight is a dud like all Mayweather fights.

Boxing is entertainment too. Look at Ali. It's not just skill.

Mayweather is a shitty entertainer. God knows why he made all that money - who the frick is paying to watch a snooze-fest?

I'd rather watch Hit Man Hearns and Leonard and especially Duran. Those guys got in there and showed mayhem. They didn't dance away. Sure Mayweather does what he does to win but it wasn't good theater...it was boring and dull and chicken-shite.

However great he is, Mayweather is boring in the ring.
