That last quote could potentially be used in court if he ever decides to sue for concussions down the road.

That attitude is what separates good players and great players. JJ Watt has the GOAT type attitude.

If Watt avoids PED suspensions, I think he will go down as one of the greatest football players to ever play. Easily a first ballot Hall-of-Famer.

The dude has an unreal combination of athletic ability and work ethic. Dude was so underrated coming out of college because he was white. His combine numbers were absurd and people didn't seem to notice.

I honestly don't understand why more players don't feel this way

If someone said "I'll pay you $10 mil dollars this year to not have a social life and become a better football player" who wouldn't take it?

With the amount of money players make they should take their job this seriously

I would think a majority of players work just as hard. No one worked harder than t.o but because he talked and went out it got ignored.

You dont get to that level without hard work. Jj just wants everyone to know how hardcore he is. We get it jj...now pat yourself on back more

I agree with almost everything you wrote. Watt is a stud and if he can continue his play like it's been, he will be 1 of the best ever.

But that's just not true. He went 11th overall. He wasn't a big name because he went to Central Michigan as a TE, then transferred to Wisconsin and redshirted his 1st year there, 44 tackles and 4 sacks his 2nd year there. Solid numbers but not great. Then had a very good final year in college. And the only DL taken ahead of him were Marcell Dareus and Aldon Smith. But he still went 11th overall. People knew about him.

Here's to hoping Watt goldberg's Johnny Manziel's partying arse the first time he comes around the end resulting in Manziel's head rolling off the field.

A lot of these guys are getting that pay anyway and aren't working as hard to get it.

Who wouldn't take it? The guys who can get $10mil/year AND have the best social lives ever.

Why did somebody print out that snippet, pin it to a wall, and take a picture of it?

Yeah that is kind of strange for someone to do.

Also why the hell are his teammates making fun of him? He is arguably the best DE in the league and his teammates are making fun of him?

There are way more players that have this attitude than don't. You just hear about all the knuckleheads . Sportscenter isn't going to run a story about some offensive guard waking up at 5:30 am to do agility training, after that go to physical therapy, had lunch with his family, then lifted weights, and ended the day with a deep tissue massage. It's boring. We'd much rather see Johnny tooting yay in Vegas.
