yunel volunteered to have knee ligament replacement surgery for ryan church

church ruptured his mcl, and yunel gave up some of his knee ligament to let church play baseball again

to be quite honest with everyone....I stopped caring about the Braves soon after the allstar break. They just starting sucking so bad, they got rid of Kotsay and the starting pitching was horrible. All I payed attention to was Chipper trying to stay over .400 which didnt happen.

IMO Francouer is all mental at the plate.

That's a big part of it, but it's also just that he has a very slow swing. It's slider-speed. And for the most part, pitchers have figured him out. For someone with any kind of velocity and control, it's very easy to miss his bat.

And I hope he turns it around. My hatred has not really been aimed at him so much as the organization for trotting him out there everyday.

maybe a change of scenery will benefit

As a Mets fan, I'm hoping for this. When I first heard about this, I wasn't happy, but who knows what a trade will do for Francoeur. He's younger than Church, better defensively, and while Church is more of an offensive threat, it's not like he's some superstar or anything. Francoeur has shown potential in the past, maybe this could be what he needs. Trading within the division is always interesting, though.
