But even with the big-name teams, is it outrageous to ask that television throw them a bone and let not let one game out of four end before their fans get off of work? I can understand yesterday because of a conflict with the Texans, but COME ON.

Yankees and Dodgers always get the night games. It sucks. But I've seen my team get stuck with the afternoon games for years.

obviously you didn't watch any of the Astros game this season and see how many fans they have outside even the country of Texas, not just Houston. don't speak what you know no knowledge of.

Why are there four games going in a day?
Why are there two games going on at the same time?
Why not start the early game at 4 instead of 12?
Why not share the early spot between multiple games, instead of the same two?
Why not use the Friday-Sunday weekend correctly?
Why don't you change things to capitalize on another sport's shooting themselves in the foot?

Oh right, Luckswing. Muh Tradition.

I'm outside of Houston and love the Astros. I know plenty of others as well.

Seems to me you're wrong.

Dodgers played day playoff games last year.

I'm sure they played a few. Just seems they get most games at night.

They don't even give them one chance to prove them wrong, so nothing ever changes. It's freaking ridiculous. Lazy programming decisions by television executives as usual who are afraid of being proven wrong.

I hear you, but it's been this way forever. I don't see it ever changing. I have taken days off or left work early to watch my teams in the past.

If the Indians win those ratings are going to be awful.

That's because they're always second banana to the Mets and Cubs, and if the Yankees and Red Sox are still alive, forgeddaboutit.

It's really annoying, but the best thing the 'Stros can do to combat this is to make the World Series. Then Fox will be forced to air us in primetime.

IDK. If the Astros play the D-Backs in the World Series, they MIGHT play it in the afternoon just to validate the paradigm.

Here's a thought, maybe they (the TV people that is) actually know what they are doing. I know it's radically crazy to think people who actually do something for a living like program TV sports and advertising and probably have access to research indicating which match ups would produce the biggest audience would know better than fan on a message board.

Oh also i don't think they want 2 teams to play a night-day game and they don't want 2 games to completely over lap so who ever gets the early a lot tends to stay there.

Some combination of Yankees-Dodgers-Red Sox-Cubs is probably what Fox would prefer

Like I said before. I'm sure they've played a few day games. But seems most are at night.
