No clue. I'll ask their CEO at our next golf outing.

At least it's consistent.

I'm sure someone would throw a bitch fit if they had to play a night game followed by a day game.

I want the Astros to win the WS, but the other 3 series feature the Dodgers, Yankees and Cubs. Probably the 3 largest fan bases by numbers in baseball.

Not much the Astros can do about that.

I keep hearing that Youston is the 3rd largest city in America but I keep seeing Youston teams treated like they're Birmingham

Fans are just ticked every ALDS game including 3 on weekdays has been in the afternoon. Pretty annoying for the playoffs.

This.

The west coast series is always going to be the "late game." Even moreso when the Dodgers are involved. The other games are @ Chicago (who has a nationwide following) and @ NYY (who has a nation wide following). Fox would probably love to have Boston on in prime time, but sorry, even though they play in the 4th largest city the Astros are largely a regional team.

It's kinda lame that with how regional baseball fan bases are that they can't have a few of them go against each other. You can't tell Me that the gained viewers in Houston and Boston wouldn't be worth it.

I'm not saying it's right, but that's how the tv execs look at it and will probably always look at it.

I remember thinking the Tigers would get at least a mid-afternoon game a few years ago when playing a west coast team (Oakland). Nope. Had to cart my arse down to Comerica for like a noon start.

The Yankees and Cubs (although they had like half the fans they do now in 2013) will always get the best tv slots.

Dodgers will always just get the latest one since they're on the west coast.

Rangers over the years have also had the day time slots in the postseason, including last year when they had the best record in the league. It's just something we have to deal with, it is complete bullshite though.

It's bull shite. You'd think since they're playing Boston that it'd help but guess not.

This is a much deeper playoffs than usual regarding talanted teams and big markets.

I thought the same and then I heard that there were several hundred tickets to today's game selling for $30 >
