Did you miss that part of the article?

I'm sorry but I don't want to live in a red China guilt-by-association society.

I think unrepentantly not feeling shame for enabling a pedophile is what got PSU in this situation to begin with.

I don't get why everyone is so surprised that Penn State is turning a blind eye to past child abuse, when the catcholic church has done it for decades while sweeping it under the rug and be admired by its followers.

it's like we just start to move on and forget/forgive the university and its bizarre cult-like atmosphere, and then they go and do this

University gets ton of bad press

That's the thing, though. They aren't trying to change. They STILL maintain as an institution they did nothing wrong. They defend everyone involved with it. They don't see any failings in how the situation was handled. That's sort of the point of all of this.

Originally from the Philly area, and all of their fans are just as delusional.

it's like they dont want to know that a grown man was raping children in their school buildings for DECADES.

I mean, another Board member just resigned a month ago after saying he was "running out of sympathy for so-called victims" and you see no issue with then naming the son of the Enabler-In-Chief?

It would be one thing if Jay had kept mum about the whole ordeal, but he has been vocally trying to get his dad's legacy restored ever since he died. Now he is in a position of influence to force that statue back up one day.

If Jay Paterno showed even one bit of remorse for what happened to those children, I'd be ok with this. It's tough to accept the failings of your father.

But he's been the most shrill of critics, acting like every bit of evidence is a directed conspiracy against his father's stupid legacy.

frick him. And frick Penn State for doing this.

Penn State needs to distance themselves from the Paterno/Sandusky era as much as possible. This isn't helping their image at all.
