Color this Raiderfan happy.

Carson Palmer was demoralized in Cincy and with Ocho around. He still has some good years left in him.

Raiders are back..gonna give SD fits.

Good for you.

Although I do not necessarily like what he did, I hope he serves the Raiders well. I honestly don't think he is completely done.

1 good game with one of the most talented offenses in the league versus one of the worst defenses in 2010 doesn't make him better than any starter in the NFL...

ETA this proves without a doubt that these are the two worst front offoces in football

I'm not saying the Bengals aren't a terrible front office, but this proves the exact opposite fwiw.

Wasn't Rich Gannon considered "washed up" when he first signed with Oakland?

Kerry Collins was washed up when he first started with the Titans too.

Palmer still has it in him for a few years imo. He was just demoralized being in Cincy.

While this seems really stupid, I think the Raiders are betting the farm on this year

That's what I don't get. Do they really think they are a Super Bowl type team at this point? I think with a year or two of steady building, they could be a very talented team and probably on top of their division, but this is just x 1,000!

It's pretty simple. If CP plays well and OAK wins, good trade. If not, bad trade/

Its not that simple, If Palmer wins some games this year and gets them in the playoffs but doesnt win the Superbowl (which he wont) and next year he is average or stinks it up then its still a bad trade

Nobody is worth 2 first round picks except the top tier QBs like Brady Brees Rodgers

Palmers not anywhere near their level

Palmer has to bring them to the playoffs for 2 or 3 years straight to even consider this a decent trade...even then, 2 first rounders? This has to be the worst trade in a VERY long time.

They'll probably use the 2013 pick to jump back into the 2nd Rd in the 2012 Draft...

You haven't been paying too much attention to recent Bengals drafts then.

You guys do realize that the Bengals have had some pretty good draft classes the last few years, right?

Mike Brown is a total frickhammer for sure, but the drafts as of late have not been the issue.

Now, the drafts of the '90s were downright horrible.

Last year, on a pretty crappy CIN team, Palmer had a higher QB rating then Rodgers AND Brady. Say what you want about the rating but Palmer has been as elite as the Bengals would allow. I agree the price is high, but CP as the numbers to back up a high price tag
