The NBA’s CBA says a firearm on team premises, including a team plane, is an automatic 50-game suspension, per @TheSteinLine on the ’This League Uncut” podcast
The league is trying to confirm where the firearm came from

Was the gun legally owned?
why does that matter?
if he took it on the plane with him to Denver, 50 games
this isn't a legal issue in terms of a possible suspension

Yep.
This is from the CBA.
Legality of it is irrelevant.

Arenas is the precedent for this correct?

And he’ll face no real repercussions for pulling a gun on a kid because he’s good at playing bouncy ball

He was at Shotgun Willie's strip club in Denver, or actually in Glendale and local police are looking into it. Don't see how they can charge him with possessing a firearm while intoxicated. Never went there but that club seemed more like a hangout for what passes for redneck in Denver.

If it is registered to him, then he would have to explain what the gun was doing in Denver.
If it isn't and he got it from someone there, then it's a legal issue.

Brought a gun into the locker room. Then pulled it on a teammate. Not his finest moment.

CBA issues and legal issues.
I thought you were talking about it from the CBA standpoint, where the illegality of the situation is irrelevant.

I still am. If he didn't have it on the plane, it's not a CBA issue but then it's a gun he doesn't own, which THEN makes it a legal issue.
I mean, technically he could own a gun in every NBA city and keeps it somewhere for when he travels

How many games was Gilbert Arenas suspended for when he had that gun incident back when Stern was commissioner?

I highly doubt it's stolen
They're not going to seize a gun in another state for a video violation of a state ordinance. And if they did they can't necessarily determine ownership
