This is exactly what we were hoping we wouldn't see. Exactly how Manning's last year went, but the Saints don't have as good of a defense to carry the team like the Broncos did. I really wish he would've retired after last year...

I agree but I honestly think brees and Payton at this point only care about the records, even at the despair of the team. He needs to be done after this year.

he got lucky last week with some throws that should have been picked off.

but to be fair Tampa was getting legit pressure on him.

last night it was apparent that either the WR's weren't getting open down field or he is doubting his abilities to go deeper than a check down pass.

he hit Trequan Smith with some good ones but that was basically it.

Maybe I should rephrase it to a TD Louisiana sports fan then.

I'm glad I only watched Brees play pre-wokeness.

Last week was a nice win for the Saints where the fans would temporarily forget what he did before the season. Now, after a loss, fans are turning on him like I predicted.

It's probably been stated in this thread already, but he's missed some really easy routine throws he just didn't miss in years past. It's eye opening.

The guy just looks older and slower this year.

so let me get this straight.

if Saints fans defend him they are dumb homers on this board but if they point out his lack of downfield passing (the truth) they are turning on him?

okay

No, the elephant in the room is Brees caving to Lebron and Michael Thomas and doing a 180 on his anthem/flag stance.

He was the golden son of New Orleans. Sure he’s getting older, but it seems like the offseason took a toll on him mentally and he lost a lot of the fanbase.

Drew Brees says that "His Truth" is that he played well last night, and, he asks, "Who are you to judge me?"

Then he put on his Jacob Blake T-shirt and went to the hotel.
