He was done last season. Serviceable but done. Saints should sign Dak in the offseason. Him under the tutelage of Payton would be dynamic. He would legit give the Saints a chance to win a superbowl.

Hate to see it

I always liked Brees. This offseason changed my opinion on him.

Drew laughed off the question about his diminishing arm strength and play. Hard to watch but it’s Karma. Should have retired last year.

I agree it’s time for Brees to retire. Hope he takes Payton, Dennis Allen and Malcolm Jenkins with him. Can Andrus Peat go, too?

It’s time. He’s way too weak of a leader to ever win another Super Bowl. Hand it over to Jameis and see where he can take you the rest of the season

Nobody respects him anymore

Yep it pains me to say it, but that pick before the half was awful and the difference in the game. Then when the Saint got that turnover and had a chance to tie - the missed a wide open receiver inexplicably by 5 yards and then the next play threw another terrible pass that if executed would have kept the drive alive - ball game.

As much as the Raiders emasculated the Saints D, the game still could have been one with the old Brees.

with what money? We’re going to be in salary cap hell

More realistically though, we have two good options who can justify a short leash for Brees if he really starts to suck, but we can still win with him

He opened his mouth way too much this offseason. Doesn’t look like the same leader and competitor.

Drew Brees should have died on that hill standing up for the flag, now Saints fans have this version of Brees at QB.

You just hate to see politically ate up Aints fans shite on their own, especially the guy that delivered their miserable franchise a Super Bowl win.

You all are a sad, sorry arse lot.

Both of the Saints backup qb's are backups for a reason. Missing Thomas though, really alters the offense. Payton is in a bad position. He's too good of a coach to get a top 10 pick. Picking in the high teens or low 20's can keep you mediocre for years unless you get lucky with a Rogers.

He very well could be at this point of Brees career. Regardless, Dak wants a fat check that the Saints can't cash so it's not even worth entertaining.
