but the only team in that division who would also no doubt win the other two is the cardinals

So you are saying the Cubs or Pirates couldn't win the East?????

That's not what you said in your previous thread...... BTW the West isn't that strong... If the Cubs or Pirates were to play the same schedule against a weaker division like the Dodgers are they could easily win the division...........

I think the Pirates could win both the west or east based on the schedule change they would face....

The Cubs??? They are a pitcher away..........

Bottomline is that the NL Central is the best division in baseball right now and it really isn't close. There isn't really another division that can hold a candle to the NL Central. The top three teams would be winning or in contention for first in every other division in baseball. I would even posit that the Reds, if playing in say the NL East, could be fighting for a playoff spot, despite their current record in the slaughterhouse that is the NL Central.

AL Central has a better overall record and a better L10 record.

NL Central's top 3 teams are a combined 66 games over .500

The next best division's top 3 is the AL East at +23 games

The NL West is +18

Are the Astros a playoff team if they are still in the NL Central??

Honestly, if they were in the NL Central I think only 1 team would make the playoffs and the Giants + Nats/Mets make the wild cards

Too much competition for one team to get the upper hand IMO

Probably not, but we would be over 500 I think and just out of the second wild card spot. The amount of young talent going forward in the NL Central would be absolutely absurd if we were still in it.
