Rosenthal said tonight he was. He’s sitting at a career WAR of 52, which is right at the minimum for HOF caliber player.

Well he ain't done yet, so his war can continue to increase. He's obviously one of the best defensive 3b of this generation so he gets consideration for that alone

Not yet - on his way.

Could also go down, but this is one of the things that drives me crazy about MLB. As you said, he’s one of the best defensive third baseman of his generation and has 299 home runs, so offensively he’s no slouch. He should be one of the faces of the game and we should be having these discussions about his HOF credentials, but instead they’re promoting guys like Jazz Chisholm.

It makes no sense.

When all is said and done I think he will/should be. Barring injury, he has a chance to be over 400 HR. He’s a solid overall hitter, good at limiting Ks, so he should continue to have a nice avg, obp, slg line.

Add in that he’s one of the best fielders ever at his position…yeah.

I think he most certainly will be. He’s 31(will be 32 by the start of the season), so presumably he should have at least another 3 years of high production. I also think he helped his case by moving to St Louis and keeping his offensive production at a high level. He won’t have the “Coors Field” bias had he stayed in Colorado.

We are talking about a league that just blackballed Trevor Bauer and moved it’s all-star game from Atlanta last year due to politics. Unfortunately it makes total sense, but not in a good way. There have only been around 10 MLB commissioners in history, but Manfred is by far the worst ever!

Chisholm is exciting but he’s no Arenado and he’s yet to make it through the 162 game grind. Yes, i think Nolan Arenado is and will be a HOFer.

Well, Ken Rosenthal and all his colleagues used to always say Andruw Jones was a future HOFer and here we are. One of the best defensive players ever, still waiting. You never know which players are going to be in the good graces of the voters when the time comes. I wish Ken Rosenthal and Jayson Stark would retire to a lake somewhere.

Andruw Jones & Manny Ramirez should both be in the HOF. I suppose I can understand them not being 1st ballot, but they belong.

If David Ortiz is a 1st ballot guy, then those 2 definitely belong. I have no issue with Ortiz, but I think Andruw & Manny are more deserving. JMO.

Scott Rolen has 70.1 WAR, 316 home runs, and 8 GG and he just got in.

Arenado is in easy unless he absolutely tanks from this point forward.

Since he had 7.9 WAR and was 3rd in MVP voting in 2022 I doubt he tanks for awhile.

No. But if he keeps playing like he did last year for another 4-5 seasons he will be.

Manny Ramirez

A no brainer if not for the goofy last few years of his career that soured the media in some ways. Easily a top 5 batter of his generation and it was no slouch generation.

Andrew should be in as well. A true phenom who took the league by storm and 19 and never left until he was done. Elite of elite defensive CF and a quality bat if nothing else.

It couldn't have been the multiple PED suspensions that soured the media.

He’s better than Scott Rolen. So probably.

He's on a HOF career trajectory... just has to maintain it.

Probably not at the moment, but if he keeps up this trajectory for the rest of his career, then I think he definitely gets in eventually, maybe not 1st ballot.

My motto is.........If you have to debate/think about whether they should be in the HOF....then they arent a HOF.

Too many people are in anyway.

Arenado is one of the best third basemen of all time.
