Is Lamar Jackson the closest thing you've seen to young Mike Vick?

I'm trying to recall a QB since then with this much foot speed and running ability and I'm coming up with a blank. You have the Denard Robinson's and Nick Marshall's of the world but they were both marginal passers. Jackson and Vick- elite runners, elite speed, elite arm strength, good enough accuracy. Jackson looks like the most dangerous open field runner in college football to me, extremely rare at the quarterback position
Fair comparison at this point in their careers? Anyone else in the conversation?

Nick Marshall in '14 fits all of these

He's not in the Vick Young or White company yet.
I compare him to Major Harris. I think people need to hold off as he struggled some last year and it's been 2 drives vs a same level talent team this year.

Vince Young?
Very fast but not track star fast
as far as Marshall- yea I guess the way I described it he does fit the bill, but it seems Vick and Jackson were/are a notch above him as passers
eta: Good call on Pat White. Let's not forget this kid is a true sophomore, his straight line speed and vision is just scary, I think that's where I see the Vick. Some of the cuts and stop and go moves he's made in the open field are ridiculous

That's fair, but Lamar Jackson is Nick Marhsall on steroids in a Bobby Petrino offense.

is the heisman race over in the first half of the FSU game?
Posted on 9/17/16 at 11:37 am to AU66
Heisman is won in November but the leader in the clubhouse is lapping the opposition

I wouldn't say nick Marshall on steroids. Some people seem to forget just how good Marshall was
