.But can they do this at the next level?

he'll probably be a mix of tyson chandler/sam dalembert at worst (assuming he gets over the injuries)

again, these guys are super rare. they don't all max out...in fact not many do. that's why guys like duncan, hakeem, etc are all time greats

You really think he can run the floor and dunk everything on offense AND be the defensive stopper like Chandler. I don't see this. But I look at Chandler as quite lazy at times. He can be a way better player on D than Chandler though.

Disagree. Parker is like Carmelo with a higher work effort and more positive attitude.

and fits their team better

Again I disagree. You don't draft a guy number one because of what you currently have. You draft him based on what you can build around him for the next 12-15 years. Parker's whole attitude and demeanor is exactly what Cleveland needs.

Ok so whoever they draft is gonna stay 12-15 years?

Until he does pretty well and the Lakers or another Big market team wants him. Face it. that's how the NBA works.

Parker is nothing like Melo. He is a more complete type of player. Plus he can't come close to being the shooter Melo is.

ballhogging on offense with inferior defensive ability/effort?

ballhogging on offense

The lack of quality point guard play on last season's Duke team may have had something to do with that. Parker was often tasked with being the team's offense because no one could create.

He didn't know how to play defense. It wasn't out of laziness, he was just comically inept at it. He's expressed willingness to learn. He said he wanted to stay in college to work on his defense before eventually declaring. As has been said, he has a better work ethic than similar players

I think he means his personality. He was a great teammate at Duke.

don't even know who that is. i don't follow this shite like i used to

i really don't like many guys this year. embiid, exum, and randle i guess. randle kinda doesn't fit in the neo-NBA
