Philbin sucks but Tannehill's struggles are on himself more than anyone. He has the best talent around him he's ever had and he looks like he's regressed. I still believe in him and his talent is underrated by some but there's a certain decisiveness and comfort in the pocket that he just doesn't have.

I think Wilson would be a stud wherever he went. I always thought he should have gone higher

It's been said repeatedly that he doesn't have the "QB instinct" that many other guys do.

For what it's worth, PFF has him ranked at 17th so far this season. He's not getting much help from his line (9 sacks - 3rd) or his receivers (11 drops - 2nd). I agree that he has looked like dogshit in weeks 2 and 3, but it might not be entirely his fault.

He still can't throw a deep ball, which very much reduces the threat of Mike Wallace.

Wilson went to the perfect situation. He's making some great strides in year 3 but his last four games of 2013 were awful and he was terrible against the Saints. How many QBs are on a team where they can win a playoff game going 9-18 for 103 yards?

Probably because he was a better receiver than he is a quarterback

True, but they didn't draft him until the 4th round IIRC.

Correct. I was addressing the high level of play comment. He might just be the guy everyone thinks he is, but I want to see him do it consistently as a starter.

True. But, that falls squarely on the OC/QB & GM for drafting him. It's crazy to think that Miami hasn't found a suitable QB since Marino's retirement.

Agree. This crack team of geniuses also traded up to the No. 3 spot to take a defensive end who had one sack against the Top 100 in his last season of college football

Not a terrible QB. Just can't throw the lob pass (deep or otherwise) to save his life.

He's a better version of Jake Locker. Looks terrific one week. Looks terrible the next.

Yeah, it was so unfair of us to prejudge a guy as a potential bust, who has reached his ceiling as the 17th best quarterback in the league.

With Philly on a bye last week, I picked Ryan up. I'm so glad I didn't place him on waivers this week especially considering Foles got hurt today.

Tannehill is an okay QB. He hasn't been a bust, but he still has a lot to do if he wants to prove he's a franchise QB. There have been a lot of guys worse than him... but chill dude. He had the best game of his career. You are jumping the gun.

There are lots and lots and lots of dumb people in this thread.

Tannehill is not an all-pro. But Jesus H, if I had no idea what the 49ers or whoever were about I wouldn't try to argue about them.
