First, they aren't in the athletics business. They are stating their opinion.
Second, Iowa State Student senate stopped BYU? Are you kidding?
Third, the BYU honor code is discriminatory. It forbids homosexual couples from any sign of affection, but does not impose the same prohibition on heterosexuals. Big 12 is a private business...if they don't want to sanction discrimination,they don't have to. They are free to allow whichever school they want into the league.
Fourth, no one is forcing any LGBT on anyone. When a law is passed that forces people into homosexual relationships, then that would be valid.
