Because it's the best sport in the world and you would be the world's biggest star.

Golf. You can play until you die and your body stays healthy for the most part.

1. Playing golf for a living
2. As the GOAT in golf, you would probably make more per year than any other athlete in the United States.
3. You can compete and play at a high level for much longer than you can in baseball, football, etc.
4. You would get to play at legendary courses on the reg that 99% of us could only dream about. Augusta National, St. Andrews etc.
5.Did I mention playing golf for a living?

Are taking into account our actual first person POV of having to play that sport...or is it more so just being able to say "I was the greatest _____ that ever lived"?

If the former, I'd probably take golf. Not too taxing on the body, take in some beautiful scenery, get to travel the world. If the latter, probably football. I mean, who wouldn't want to say they were the best football player of all time?

soccer would give you all of these, except travel to foreign countries, more money, a chance to win a world cup for your country, and less games.

I'd probably go with golf though. Much less physical strain and stress.
