But when it comes to Warriors vs Bulls or any other great team from previous eras. The Warriors lose because they have a huge deficiency in post scoring/defense and rebounding
It depends on which set of rules you play under.

Under today's rules, it's much harder to post up because there isn't space in the post like there used to be because there are no illegal defense rules.

Back when Jordan played, they could post up and clear out and the defenders had to clear out as well except for the guy getting posted up. Barkley could back a guy down for like 10 seconds freely before making a move to score. He and others wouldn't be able to do that without the rules in the 90's allowing for isolation like that.

If the Warriors played in the 90's, they wouldn't have a post-up player. But is that necessary? They don't use one now, so why would they need to use one then? Teams from the 90's, however, couldn't survive without a post-up game, and it's much harder to post-up in today's games because of the lack of space due to the rules.

Anybody doubting what I'm saying about posting up and illegal defense, watch the first minute of this video of Charles Barkley in a playoff game against the Warriors. Look how much freaking space they had to work with back then due to the rules:

The Warriors wouldn't be able to shoot so many 3's with physical defense.

How so? When has a team ever just mugged people around the perimeter??? In the paint, sure

People overrate the rule changes(zone D as well as hand checking). Kobe and Pau posted up just fine because they were great passers and the triangle punished you for double teaming

Him having that much space is due to Don Nelson's WOAT defensive coaching.

The Illegal D rule changes happened in 01 and had no effect on Kobe/Shaq winning a 3rd title or Duncan or Dirk or Kobe/Pau etc.

The problem is the older generation of "experts" aren't really experts, it's nothing more than simple conjecture and assumption

So if you're a part of the older generation, you arent really an expert and don't know what you're talking about. And if you're under 35, you don't know what you're talking about either....

Trying to defend this Warriors team under the old rules people like to bring up would be a nightmare.

Unless you think the reasoning is that just being allowed to be more physical is enough to throw them off the rules make what they do even harder to stop.

Hand Check??? Are you serious??? Anytime A Warriors player went to the hoop he would get knocked on his arse and play would continue.... Pus Rodman would eat Gren for lunch by getting in his head so bad, it would def effect the way he plays... Phil would let Curry get his but would shut down the rest of the team.........

again, if the warriors were brought up in that NBA. That wouldn't matter. They are good enough to adjust to a handful of hard fouls a game. Go a head a put a team with stacked shooters on the line a bunch.

The youngsters have no clue how good Scottie Pippen was.
