I think it’s great. Way better than whatever other story they would be shoving down our throats.

It might help if there wasn’t a new “I hate Colorado” thread on this board every day

I mean Deion has every right to be riled up. People were saying they had the worst roster in football 3 weeks ago.

As far as this weeks concerned he didn’t ask norvell to run his mouth. Dudes a fricking idiot for saying something like that knowing it just pisses Deion off and he’ll find a way to use it to fuel his team.

I’m tired of Colorado too but damn …. ESPN is fricking trash. No one more tiring and annoying than Stephen A.

I mean once they win a couple games after getting smacked by Oregon and USC it'll be "Everybody wanted to ride with us in week 1 and 2. But then they jumped off our bandwagon and said we was done. We know where our true fans at. Don't come running back. We got them receipts. We member what yall said"

Spot on.

Just can’t wait to see who Deion blames when they lose. It will never be his fault

A lot of people in this thread are upset at CU and Deion for the same reason Norvell was. It's cognitive dissonance.

The guy who takes his hat and glasses off because his mama taught him that way, worked his way up through the ranks is supposed to be the good guy. The braggart that got to skip the line is supposed to be the bad guy, and the bad guy shouldn't be rewarded.

When the "bad guy" wins it messes up people's entire perception of the world. Deion losing will be the universe making things right for them.

I dont even understand how deion could be viewed as having cut the line or anything. His playing acumen was probably worthy of getting the opportunity he had at Jackson State (a low level school with nothing to lose if it backfired) and what he pulled off there given their history was certainly worthy of the opportunity he was given at Colorado (another low level (competition wise), but bigger, program with not much to lose).

Im not arguing you directly, i get your point. I just dont understand why anyone would think that way.

Yeah I mean it's been interesting so far.

Something different.

They'll drop a few games and when they do people are going to get all excited about it.

I don't know if I had that on my bingo card before this college football season started either.

This whole sunglass deal is manufactured by ESPN to get the hype train going
Probably threw Norvell a bone, we'll give you exposure if you spice this rivalry up
Now all the ESPN talking heads will be wearing sunglasses to gameday tomorrow and Deion just made a mint selling his sunglass brand

It’s a good for TV story. Nobody is gonna shut down a black coach with the narrative that he brought a team back to life.

I was all about it until Deon pulled out the race crap at his post game presser. I absolutely love the way he is coaching, but leave the race crap out.

This. I immediately tune out and disregard when the overplayed race angle is used.

Great way to turn a fun and entertaining story to crap.

The media is just terrible. They love beating a dead horse just like radio likes to ruin good songs by over playing them.

Having a chip on your shoulder and not respected is a fantastic motivator as long as you can make the perception last.

Prime knows what he’s doing.
