I would remove the concept of a defenseless player. I'm ok with not going low or high on QBs and not spearing guys in the head, but a DB shoukd absolutely be able to lay a receiver the frick out the second he touches the ball. Punishing players for doing their job with legal hits just because a guy doesn't see him coming is bullshite. It's as dumb as the force out rule they got rid of.

Amen. It basically mandates a defender to allow a receiver to make the catch before he can be contacted.
It's not like the NFL is suddenly safer because a flag will now be thrown if you get annihilated going across the middle.
