he isn't flashy but he is still a great player even at his age

Top 10 yes, but MJ is the GOAT.

I'll say if he dominates the finals and captures MVP honors he's without question the better than Shaq and Kobe.

He's already Top 5-10 of all time. I think that's his ceiling, and it's not a shabby place to be.

Okay, but that STILL does not get you GOAT status.

This isn't really Timmy's team. Parker should get the glory as best player on team. Timmy is riding that coaster this point in career.

It's why Kobe's ring count should be subtracted by 3 in goat discussion. He rode Shaquille to those titles

He's the same exact player whether they win it all or not.

I don't know where Duncan ends up in the all-time NBA hierarchy.

Is he better than Malone was as power forward? What about Barkley? Tough to say. He certainly has the hardware to boost his resume over those two.

He played center as well. Is he better than Kareem, Olajuwon, or even Shaq at that position? He has all the awards to substantiate his claim to the Mount Rushmore of NBA.

He's got 4 rings, 3 finals MVPs, 2 season MVPs, 14 all-star appearances, ROTY, and the first player to ever be selected to the All-NBA and All- Defense teams for 13 straight seasons.

The thing about Duncan is that you can't legitimately say he was the best player in the league at any time in his career, which is unfortunate. He's got to be top 10, if not top 5, IMO.

he's an all nba center at 37, whose per min production has never really decreased and who ETA: IN THE frick is the second player on the Spurs that is better than him? Leonard or Ginobili?

Unless GOAT stands for Greatest of All Tims I will say No.
