What are the game by game ratings for both the Ecf/wcf seems like that would be the best way to compare

Atlanta is not a very good sports city?
Turn a Braves game on just to look at the stands once.. It's sad.

It doesn't help our stadium seats 57k. We are middle of the pack in attendance averages.

Game 1, Atlanta had a 15.4 rating.

Comparable to Houston and Golden State game 1 where both cities had a 15.9 rating.

It's not. You have been on this website since 2010. You know the answer to your question.

Like I said- I know it's a popular opinion. But I also know this is a board which consists of roughly 70% or more fans of New Orleans who despise Atlanta and aren't exactly neutral. I keep that in mind when evaluating which opinions to believe to be accurate

you're not wrong.

And Atlanta did have a really good year. Seemed to peak too early. Had the playoffs been in January they may have won a title

Only during football season. There's really no 'city rivalry' in my mind. I know plenty of people from home who now live in ATL or have lived there, and I know a fair share of people from ATL who live here.

They do it with Houston too. They just have an inferiority complex over where they live

Atlanta is unique in that it's probably the only major market where even the NFL takes a backseat to cfb.

How about Houston for comparison. Keep in mind that Houston is not a basketball town, has many transplants, and they've had trouble generating hype since they had the TV deal fiasco where nobody could watch the local teams. Keeping that in mind...

No they don't. I can promise you people from there don't look at Houston as some type of incredible metropolis.
