Centenary's senior PF Maxx Nakwaasah just set the all-time school record for points in a game with 51. He scored his 1,000th career point last week against Louisiana College.

Yeah, csb.

Are they any good this year since moving to D3? I know they struggled pretty badly the last few years in D1.

6-7 right now (I think), but a 5-game streak right now. Team is looking damn good right now.

Just looked at their roster and holy shite they have alot of freshmen! If they can stay together, they may be pretty good in the next year or two.

I just googled him; 6'3" PF, damn. Are all the D3 big men that undersized?

Congrats to him on the accomplishment though. 51 pts in a game is tough at any level of competition.

I'm guessing he scored more points than there were fans to witness this historic achievement?

Robert had a very strong supporting cast at Centenary. Larry Davis, Leon Johnson, Nate Bland and Barry McLeod were all good offensive players.

Plus, Parish never played a team as bad as East Texas Baptist College (the opponent in yesterday's game). In those days CC played ranked teams like Texas, Houston, UNLV, DePaul, and Indiana State with a forward named Larry Bird. Parish also played UNC-Charlotte with a forward named Cornbread Maxwell. Another future team mate with the Celtics.

The worst team I saw CC play with Parish was Hardin Simmons. They had a forward named Steadman Graham who later became Mr. Oprah Winfrey.
