Yeah, after the massive choke that happened yesterday at Minute Maid, I wouldn't get your hopes up. I would also like to see 'Stros v. Rangers, but the pitching of Houston has to hammer down and bring some heat and not let up when ahead like yesterday. Also the Rangers would stomp Houston, again

If both teams make it, what makes you say that? The Rangers owned the Astros this year.

I'm not sure it's a choke when neither team was favored going into the series

Rangers only needed to win one at home. IIRC only 2 teams (2010 rangers and 2012 giants) have won a DS after being down 0-2

Houston gave up a 4 run lead by giving up 7 in the last 2 innings in a clinching game.

That's choking

6 outs to go and up 6-2 is a choke no matter who is favored. But I'm rooting for them to redeem themselves.

Rangers lost their series Sunday night unless Hamels can come out and throw a complete game Wednesday, which is possible.

Houston has a better chance against an easier line up, but it wouldn't surprise me if their psyche was a bit screwed up after a big time choke yesterday.

I think one will win and the other will lose, but I won't guess which is which. I do think the Rangers have a better pitching matchup, as they will throw Hamels against someone who isn't Price, because Gibbons wanted to burn him for no particularly reason. But the Blue Jays are better than the Royals, so there's that.

Home field never came into play in the Rangers series as each game was such a blowout.

Would the Rangers losing really be choking? I think a good argument could be made that the Blue Jays were the best team in the playoffs and the Rangers the worst. The Blue Jays had by far the best run differential and the best OPS differential in baseball. The Rangers were by far the worst in both among playoffs teams. So I get that the sequencing of winning two, then losing three looks bad, but losing the series 3-2 doesn’t seem like a choke job to me.

That's a good question. I think without a doubt the Blue Jays are the best team in the A.L. at the very least and even Vegas had them at 3-1 odds to win the thing, but I think no matter who you are, if you win the first two game of a five game series on the road and ultimately lose said series than yes, that's a choke. I'm a Rangers fan and I'm dreading this.

Also, someone above mentioned Toronto burning Price and that being dumb. Well in Price's six post season losses, he's never won a start in his career, four have come against Texas. The Rangers have his number and proved that again this season so I understand why Gibbons wants to go Stroman.
