I get that winning two, then losing three is way more devastating for the team and fans than say losing two, winning two, then losing game 5, but I really don’t think it means that the team's performance was any different. But I also think people (especially here) are way too quick to throw out a choker label instead of acknowledging the randomness that is inherent in small samples.

It happens, especially to young teams. Good thing there's still one more game to get it done. Otherwise, chalk it up to a learning experience and see you in 2016 when nobody will want to play the Astros.

I think you what you mean is the "lack of certainty" inherent in small samples.

The Rangers have his number and proved that again this season so I understand why Gibbons wants to go Stroman.

And that's a terrible decision. always choose the better player, especially when the gap in talent is this large. Gibbons was scared to play his best pitcher in a deciding Game 5. That is the kind of panic move that deserves to be punished by the baseball gods.

That said, the Blue Jays are, as many have pointed out, a much better team than the Rangers.

And the Rangers are a pretty lefty heavy lineup. It truly doesn't make any sense.

I believe it does.

The Rangers are well known for shelling Price in the post season. It's already happened once this year. Stroman pitched extremely well against us and I'm honestly more scared of him than I am Price.

I understand that if you don't watch Texas a lot why you would think that, but there is honestly some kind of mental block for the guy where he just can't beat us in the post season.

See that just strikes me as overreacting to a small sample size. It's not like Stroman pitched that much better than Price either. I do think Stroman is going to be a stud (maybe already is), but I'd be giving the ball to Price.

I watch a lot of Rangers games. This is a bad decision. Now, I don;t think it will matter, as the Blue Jays lineup is so much better, but not starting Price gives me some hope.

Rangers don't have a chance unfortunately.

I think when it comes to 5-6 post season starts that it isn't a small sample size anymore. 2-3 is small when you're talking post season baseball. I think we can all agree that Kershaw is a great pitcher 90% of the time but is known to not be near as dominant in the post season. Same goes with Price.

Stoman certainly looks like he's going to be the real deal. Honestly hadn't seem him pitch until the other day and was impressed. However, he seems to be a really emotional guy. As long as you don't let him get fired up and have some momentum I think he's really beatable.

5-6 starts is still small in my opinion. And Kershaw hasn't been great in the postseason thus far, but I still expect him to dominate every postseason start.
