I gave up on Houston sports radio years ago. Tried Sports 610 Houston just now.

Interested to see what is being said about Astros - Rangers.

10 minutes discussing NFL mock draft and I gave up. Sports radio in Houston is an absolute shell of what it was years ago.

Sucks arse.

LOL.

I might find Spanish more interesting than mock draft discussion in October.

Have not listened to 610 in a long while. But I miss Slocum on a Mobile.

610 is pretty Texans heavy all the time.

92.5, I like the morning show but that’s it

610 is all Texans all year.
790 was talking stros.
97.5 FM is my go to though. Pretty damn funny at times in the morning.

Does 610 also have exclusive access to a bunch of Texans content like weekly coach and player interviews?

Do they air any and all press conferences conducted by the Texans?

Generally curious how a radio station could fill their broadcast schedule throughout the year focusing almost exclusively on the Texans.

Is that not a relevant topic for the Texans?

Sports is all I listen to in the car. When working in Houston, it was always a surprise how awful the sports talk shows are. One after another, each individually bad.

Probably because they are hired guns from other states.

I moved here from Dallas a little over 10 years ago--Houston sports radio is terrible. It's all NFL (Texans---I couldn't care less about them) and NBA and that even includes the national ESPN shows. It's rare when college football or basketball is discussed.

There's nothing here at all like The Ticket (Dallas) and even that station isn't what it once was since they've been losing a lot of their talent.

92.5/97.5 is what I listen to. Morning is the best show they have. I like the changes they made the last couple of months, the old afternoon show with Cody, BK and the other guy was terrible. Too bad they lost AJ and Fred.

Yeah the Ticket runs laps around Houston sports talk and most cities

Houston has the most generic copy and paste sports radio out there

I've lived here for over 3 years and I never bothered trying to find a local sports station.

I typically listen to 104.5 Baton Rouge through the ESPN app or the national ESPN broadcast.

How do you guys listen to sports radio? You can download what I assume would be multiple Astros podcasts, fast forward through commercials, and pause if you need to.
