Even if Dwight did win a Championship ... and quite honestly, the only way he will is on someone else's coat-tails ... he will still be a bitch and not a leader.
Quite honestly, it is insulting to many of the all-time great competitors and leaders at center mentioned in this thread...to have Dwight Howard mentioned with them.

Dude is not close to an all time great center

you're entitled to an opinion. I've posted 2 links that have him top 10 without even putting much effort into it. And he was the only player on those lists who is still playing so clearly the potential is there to move up.

quote:You're entitled to that, Dwight's not done playing yet and is already considered by some to be right there with some of those guys. 10-15ish range. There's no shame in being the 15th or even 20th best Center of all time and he's already better than that.

There is shame in having no heart, no balls, no desire to compete, dominate, and win ... and he has ALL the gifts.
He lacks dedication and diligence.
He is merely an employee that collects a paycheck ... brilliant at times, pathetic at others (in which it is clear that he is not even trying) ... whom even on his worst day, can stack up numbers.
His legacy will be that of an underachiever that COULD have been an indisputable all-time great.
I tried for a long time to like Dwight Howard ... and then I accepted him for what he is ... just a tall, strong punk who can dunk and rebound....when he wants to.

NO desire to compete? Again he lead a team to the finals.
No desire to dominate? He is THE dominant defensive center of this generation.
No desire to WIN? When healthy his teams win 50 games minimum.
Hate to say it but this is a clown post you're clearly biased against him. YOo don't have any clue about his desire do you know him personally? Or just see him smile and think that he's not serious? Find me where he's ever been accused of not working hard by coaches, teammates, anyone.
