You have Dayton with 3 calls that make you scratch your head.

The Technical
The Flagarant Foul 1
The No-call on the 3

There is the goaltending call in the SMU game

The non travel calls in tOSU VCU game

The Cincy player ejection (good call)

Shoe tossing in Arkansas game

Those are examples of calls, I'm not saying it's atrocious but it's puzzling at times.

It's been completely terrible.

UC Irvine game ending when the ref swallowed his whistle as Louisville tried(and succeeded) in intentionally fouling was, without question, the worst.

I can somewhat understand that non call

I think the Cooley technical was the worst. As he was talking to his team and it didn't stop or slow the game.

Guess he is not allowed to get pissed at his players anymore?

Although this didn't affect the outcome of the game, I find this one most troubling. The refs allowing people on the bench to throw things on the court without calling a foul seems ludicrous and sets a bad precedent. I was thinking as I was watching it, Wofford's bench should throw something to one of their players and dare the refs to penalize them.

Not that it mattered in the outcome, BUT I saw at least 10 calls that Duke got away with that Robert Morris didn't. Everytime a RM player even touched a Duke player the whistle blew.. Yet I saw 5 over the back calls on Duke that the refs swallowed the whistle... Duke was in the bonus within the 1st 8 mins of the game.... I don't care what you boneheads say... Duke gets favorable treatment from the refs.............. If it went both ways I would not care but there are too many times that duke gets away with calls that the other team doesn't....

It did affect the game though. They stopped the game and cost Wofford points and a possession.

What was Crean going off about walking off the floor yesterday?

That flagrant 1 they called on Providence basically ruined the game within the first few minutes.

It was what 45 seconds into the game? Then the guy got another cheap one a minute later?

Yeah, their point guard got two fouls within a couple of minutes and they sat him after that. The flagrant was -terrible. It really shouldn't have even been a foul.

This is a common misconception among bball fans. There is no rule in the rule book called "over the back." Now if you're hanging on the guys back then it's a foul, but you're supposed to go "over his back" to get the ball and not through it.

Maybe because "Over the back" doesn't exist. It's a made up myth. There is such thing as a loose ball foul or a push but no over the back. It's a buzzword that ignorant basketball fans love to yell out during games along with "THREE SECONDS!!!" which most fans don't understand how that rule works either.

What? He intentionally fouled and came away with the ball. It wasn't even remotely possible to get a steal from that position without possible nor did the player possible think he was. He was instructed by Petino to foul intentionally. How can you possibly understand the non-call?

If you see the angle the ref had it looked like he didn't hit him and the Irvine player tried to sell it.

I didn't say it was right, I said I could understand it.

Ok. But why were the refs calling Robert Morris for fouls when they went [over the back] Of Duke players and not when Duke did it.... That's all I am saying. Just be fair on both ends and when it comes to Duke it never is........

Dude, he wasn't even remotely close to in position to be able to beat him to the spot to take an offensive foul, much less get a steal. It was an intentional foul. Ref should have known that.

There's no angle in the world that could make that play not look like a really obvious and intentional foul. It's just not a call that is ever missed.

LINK

That's an intentional foul. The dude has played basketball before He knows that is completely illegal and will always be called. He was instructed to take it.

You can't call what you don't see

Again the tv angle and the ref angle are different. Which is why I understand the no call.

ETA: the scoreboard being wrong in Oregon oSu game was bad also.

oSu fouled to give a foul although they were over but board said it wasn't

Ole Miss / Xavier game was atrocious. During the first half we only had 3 foul shots while Xavier got every call possible. The refs also missed a shot clock violation by Xavier, a kick ball, and a 10 second violation. It totally put us out of our game early on ... very frustrating.
