If Harden played D they would have won the game. People forget the reason OKC went with Westbrook instead of Harden is defense.

Also, anyone else see on TNT last night when Shaq analyzed multiple Dwight plays showing how he had no idea what he was doing on offense?

McHale needs to actually coach his stars instead of be afraid of confronting them.

I know right? We just played our 6th game this season what the hell is he doing? Obviously just letting Dwight do whatever he wants

If they don't shoot 25% from 3...
If they don't miss 20 FTs...

They played a horrible game and lost by 1. This team is gonna be scary good come playoff time.

Rockets were 33-52 from the free throw line. Rockets were 37.7% from the field. Rockets were 7-27 for 26% from 3.

If the Rockets only shot 9-27 from 3, and if they went just 38-52 from the line, they would have scored 11 more points.

They would have beaten the Lakers by 10.

Defense does have to get better. No doubt about it. But shooting, ball movement, and free throws have been terrible all season.

Rockets have been winning despite playing terrible and missing shots.

My numbers were off. They were 33-52 not 62.

I said from the start of the season that Houston would receive more hate on this board than Miami-LA combined. So far, so good. The only team close is the Clippers.

everyone seems to have their own slant when it comes to this story.

let's try and be unbiased people. It's clear Howard and Harden hate Asians.

if he was working that hard at it he wouldnt be still be having these issues.

if he was working that hard he would have tried ANYTHING to fix it including shooting granny style.

He does work hard at it. If he hires his own shooting coach, he's clearly trying to get better at it.

He got worse over time.

In high school he was a 90% free throw shooter. In the NBA his rookie season, he was a 70% free throw shooter.

Then he just got worse and worse over time.

It's in his head.

Our rockets threads 2-3 years ago were the same 8-9 Houston fans...with TheUnknownKnight (props for the persistence)and Rondo the only non-rocket fans there to flame. Now it's more flaming than actual rockets fans. My how things have changed. Being hated means being relevent, and I'll take that for the first time in a long time.

I thought it was because they had what harden is in westbrook/durant. they needed a defensive big's presence and that is what ibaka gives them..

I should have said defense was reason the decision was made to keep Westbrook and Ibaka instead of Harden.

He seriously does not give a shite about defense. The next time you watch a Rockets game, just keep your eyes focused on him when the other team has the ball. One of the laziest players I've ever seen on D. I don't know why he's this way either. Course SwaggerCopter will tell you he's merely tired. That never seemed to bother Jordan, Kobe, or Lebron on D.
