I watched the 3 90's Super Bowls with my dad too, but from the couch! I was 10, 11, and 13 years old when they happened. I also had an Aikman jersey that I wore during at least 2 of them. It was the navy one before they added the star to the sleeves.

If your guy won't be considered a legend a jersey is a waste of money... Teams need to sell their jerseys with no names on them so fans can get more value for them

I don't wear jerseys, but as a fan I would much rather wear a jersey of my favorite team than a polo or any other dress up shirt with a mascot logo or team name on it. 
Jerseys are acceptable when you are a fan of the team, Deal with it. Why hate on a fan base?
It just seems so much more cheesy trying to be classy about your sports team attire.. I would just wear a REAL polo, by ralph lauren, in my teams colors.
Also the whole, "I would never wear another man's name" What do you think you are doing when you wear named brand clothing. :rotflmao: Grow up and don't be so insecure with yourself.

Isn't wearing a "Polo" brand shirt just another form of wearing another man's clothes? You're not wearing his name on the back of your shirt. You just have his brand on the front.

The difference between a polo and a jersey is so obvious and elementary that it is hard to explain it in English. How all men do not psychically know this is something I cannot figure out.
A polo is something one can often wear in an office setting. A sports team logo on the polo makes it a bit more douchey, sure, except if you're A John Ritter-looking dad or older and you just don't really know how to dress yourself (not that I know how to dress myself).

I don't like the feel of a football or basketball jersey, but i'll wear the shite out of a hockey or soccer jersey. I have 4 soccer jerseys and one hockey "sweater". I have a white Lidstrom, a red/blue sash USMNT Altidore, a red Liverpool Gerrard, a blank blue/white sash USMNT, and a blank home Philly Union.

there are a lot of jersey wearer Texans fans, but that says more about that fanbases' race and tax bracket than it does their fashion sense.

It's obvious that jersey-wearing has nothing to do with fashion since nobody buys a football jersey to look good. When you buy a jersey, you buy a jersey for two reasons: a) you like the player/team and b) you have no idea how much of a douche you're being.
It's fine if you don't get it. This very conversation requires some people not getting it.
