Dude, Alabama is pretty well known to be one of the weakest high school athletic states in the south.

Louisiana is significantly better. That guy is a slack-jawed, buffoon. What a dumbass

Happy 4th.

You are just trolling now. FBS players per state

This is an outdated linked that chronicles 2008 through 2013. AL has increased its lead over LA in the last 3 years and will continue with the increasing gentrification of New Orleans.

From 2008-2013 AL had 502 kids sign with FBS schools while LA had 499.

LA was leading per capita until 2012 then AL took the lead and has held it. A couple years later AL took the NFL player per capita as well.

So if AL is one of the weaker states for talent then all the states must suck.

Alabama has passed Louisiana for talent and is pulling away. The next ten years will be telling especially if New Orleans stays on its current trajectory.

So you say NOLA is gentrifying... the talent ain't leaving the state... maybe different schools produce it, but it's still there

Peyton Manning
Marshall Faulk
Ed Reed
Terry Bradshaw
Jim Taylor
John Henry Johnson
Charlie Joiner
Fred Dean
Aaenas Williams
Willie Davis

That's 8 Hall of Famers and 2 players (Manning and Reed) who are 1st ballot HOFers and arguably the best to play their position. This list doesn't even include Faneca who will also get in very soon.

Anyone from the Allen area know how their team is this year?

I think they have a new coach this year but still ranked in the top 5 statewide.

They never have a down year. Allen High is a huge school + they seem to get blue chip transfers every year.

Good deal. Allen and Hoover are mirror cities. They also get the blue chip recruits. They will be starting a new QB. I would put money on Allen ATM, but Hoover will be well coached, and gameplan well.
