And then the award becomes a "bowl game" award because 3-4 weeks will have passed since the end of the season and it will become "last impression."
Not that it hasn't become that now. Stats showed RGIII soared in the voting exactly when Luck/Richardson weren't playing the last weekend of college football. Out of sight, out of mind.
ETA: Not that RGIII didn't deserve it...he was the best, beginning to end of the season bar none.
