Has Boston been the best major sport city in the US this century?

We'll go since 2000 because I said so
Patriots - 4 Super Bowls
Red Sox - 3 World Series
Celtics - 2008 World Champions
Bruins - 2011 Stanley Cup Winners
So that's 9 major sports titles in 16 years, any other city come close to that? Is Boston the sports hub of America? Pretty unreal the kind of sport success New Englanders have been enjoying recently.

Hard to argue any of that

Los Angeles area has 9 as well.
Lakers with 5, Kings with 2, Angels with 1, and Ducks with 1.
I have NY metro area (including NJ) with 6, if you count the 2000 season.
Yankees, Giants, and Devils with 2 each since then.
San Francisco with 4.

This is probably a relatively small pool of contenders if you're including NHL, NFL, NBA, MLB.
Example, Spurs have a basketball dynasty but don't support the other professional sports.

LA is tied with them without a NFL team

L.A. is in the conversation, even without the NFL.
Lakers: 5 Titles
Angels: 1 World Series
Kings: 2 Stanley Cups
Ducks: 1 Stanley Cup
The Galaxy also has 5 MLS cups if you count that as major.
If you add UCLA basketball (3 Final Fours) and USC Football (2* national championships) as major sports participants, L.A. is even more formidable.
Boston is probably best, but L.A. has an argument.

If you include usc, LA does have Boston beat In terms of numbers.... But Boston is a much better/bigger sports town than LA.
Boston also has a championship in all 4 major pro sports.... We didn't even have an nfl team, although the Carroll dynasty USC teams were a viable replacement.

Boston is the better sports city as their fans aren't divided across many teams. I'm sure that LA Clipper fans aren't happy about the LA Laker's titles.

The crazy thing about Boston is they literally flipped fortunes starting in about 2001. If we pause right there (prior to Pats first Super Bowl) this is what it looked like:
Red Sox-no championship in 83 years
Patriots-no championship ever
Bruins-no championship in 29 years, with no sign of one coming anytime soon
Celtics-no championship in 15 years, ditto what was said about the Bruins
They went from being somewhat of tough luck sports town to a champion in all major sports within the decade
