To be fair, with the exception of hockey they've been won by a singular team for each sport. It's like ya LA also has the clippers but

And the Dodgers. Not like they'll win anything any time soon.

I have 86, 90, 07, and 11 are you counting the AFL?

The Giants weren't an AFL team.

So their 4 NFL (not AFL) titles don't count then? You should take that up with the NFL.

It's really strange. Pro football is the only sport where a merger negated a large chunk of history in the eyes of many fans. The NBA merged with the ABA, the NHL expanded from the original 6, MLB tripled in size from where it was 90 years ago, but nobody thinks twice for giving credit for the championships of those early eras(nor should they). The NFL decides to call their championship the Super Bowl and all of the sudden all prior history is erased. It's odd

Yeah I don't get it either, especially since the NFL started in 1920 (40 years before the AFL).

If you include NCAA hockey championships, Boston has it over LA

Then the Patriots don't count for Boston either since Foxborough is 30 miles away while Anaheim is only 29 miles away from LA.

how?

the los angeles area is considered to be centered around long beach-los angeles-anaheim. anaheim isnt LA nor in los angeles county, but its basically the same thing as saying foxborough is boston

100%. I take it you have never been there. They needed a place out in the middle of nowhere to build a stadium and they sure found it. If it was in the middle of a county like Orange County it would be a little different. SoCal has 3 distinct sports markets and if you don't admit it then you are lying. They are L.A., OC and S.D.

thats why the los angeles times covers OC sports? or why the angels literally changed their name to the los angeles angels of anaheim?
