psu and tOSU fan bases are horrible.

Some of the worst in College Sports. So nothing would shock me from either fan base.

It is a shame because State College, PA is probably an awesome college town. It is too bad the people appear to be like a big cult. I feel like if I went to PSU and didn't like football, I'd be forced to wear a scarlet letter.

One guy (during the sign holding incident and the statue) was saying how he drove a couple hours and he was going to get his picture with the statue. Seriously? It is football. Get a grip on reality.

It is a good thing the Bear had a thing for whiskey and women. If it had been quaaludes and boys we'd have seen some spectacular shite when that story broke.

Seriously if people think it's just OSU and Penn St that have that cult like attitude they are poorly mistaken.

Just finished watching the doc.

I don't think anyone is saying that Penn State is the only school with a cult-like following. But I have had PSU grads admit that the environment at that University is different than others.

Also, the kid that they kept interviewing didn't help students imagine at all. I wonder if he transferred or something?

Felt bad for Joe he should have done more no don't but the AD and campus Police covered that shite up from day one.

Still would love to know why the District Attorney didn't press charges the first time he was investigate? If they ever find him.

Maybe the DA was afraid of public backlash?

The "Good Guy" predator fools all around him/her for years. With a combination of Sandusky's personality and the likelihood of nothing actually happening (a predator of this type will groom their victim), the DA was fleeced like everyone else. That boy's mother undoubtedly saved her son from being another victim, to her great credit.

I'd say a better comparison to Penn State fans would be Texas A&M.

I'm sure our A&M fans would loudly disagree with you. From my perspective, the Penn State fan base is no different from any other large, passionate fan base. We did our fair share of finger pointing and ostracizing other teams/conferences over academic and athletic cheating. Those days should be over for Penn State fans, but finger pointing seems to be human nature.

I just found that after Paterno passed away. Many PSU fans wanted to overly point out the good that he did [graduation rates, giving back to the community etc]. But that was never an argument.

I can agree with that. You talk to 10 different grads, you'll get 10 different degrees of rationality reference JoePa, Penn State, etc. Exactly the same as any other passionate fan base. Again, this is only from my perspective, and I don't have the same experiences as you and others.

That guy is obviously deflecting, and continuing the finger pointing I was talking about. It's a shame.

Yea bama is up there with them. Bama fans just destroy historic property, tea bag people and murder people over bama games.

FSU fans are gaining on the cultish following
