A source told me that reports of Doc to the Phillies within the next 24 hours are inaccurate.

Happ + Drabek is a deal breaker, no way Philly does that

actually he is. 23 is age appropriate for AA.

I think Halladay is the best pitcher in baseball bar none, but again he's somewhat of a rental player as it stands.

Well thats a long rental...They get him the rest of this yr and next. And will be the favorite to make it to the World Series both years.

Thats why you take the proven commodity..Whose been consistently one of the best pitchers for a period of time. U play to when the Championship when u have the chance. Halladay gives u the best chance this yr and next.

this amounts to nothing. not one damn thing.

They weren't the favorites last year and they won it. The Tigers were everyone's favorite and...?

why are you acting like they didn't just win a championship...without Halladay?

Not saying he doesn't help them, but trading everything for him doesn't make sense. Like I said, I just don't think I'd trade Happ.

do you really think that the phillies win it this year if they dont get him

i honestly dont think their pitching is good enough. now granted i know they said that last year, but still

Neither has Happ..But we do know that Halladay is one of the most dominant pitchers in the league and u expect that to translate to playoffs..Granted pressure plays a role but I would rather take that chance than the chance that Happ might be better than Halladay in the future.

Not for a top, untradeable prospect

If you want to compare him to the top prospects that came up this season.

Drabek - 21 in AA - 6.14 K/9, 43% Ground ball rates, and a .251 avg against

Davis Price - 22 in AA - 8.7 SO/9, 57% ground ball rates, and a .206 Avg against

Trevor Cahill - 20 in AA - 8 SO/9 62% ground ball rates, and a .190 avg against

Brett Anderson - 20 in AA - 11 SO/9, 54% ground ball rates, and a .235 avg against

Tommy Hanson - 21 in AA - 10.5 SO/9, 40% ground ball rate, and a .197 avg against

Drabek's number's arent even comparable. Again he is a very good prospect, but not as good as some are making him out to be.

I'd trade Happ, for sure. Happ, Drabek, and a few other good prospects... I don't know about that.

the hell are you on about? I said that they should definitely open to trading him.

I also said using minor league numbers to judge anything is pointless. Trust me.

no i didnt

their pitching was actually better last year imo

moyer will not get it done in the playoffs, he just wont
rodrigo lopez, doubtful
happ is a stud no doubt, but hes still a rook

i just think if they made the play and got him, they would be awesome

if im the phillies, i try to move carrasco and drabek and the catcher
