My two favorites were the Boston Garden and old Detroit Tiger Stadium. I loved the way the old upper deck seating of both would appear to be hanging right on top of the action.

Few new venues have the visual appeal of places like these.

Texas Stadium looked like a palace on TV. It was one of the biggest dumps I have ever been to in person. I was shocked how bad it was.

Fenway Park didn't look like a palace on TV, but it looked magical. It was a massive disappointment in person. Rose Bowl also looks great on TV, but the concourses and concession stands are a letdown.

Candlestick Park for football. The lights at night gave off a star wars vibe.

Chicago Stadium for the Bulls and Blackhawks. I always liked the way it looked on TV.

The Rose Bowl is little more than a dump with a nice lawn.
