The Dolphins games were packed and the old Orange Bowl was one of the loudest stadiums in the league.

Oh yeah. Was r. Really loud when the Canes would play big games.

The way it was built, the crowd was on top of the game, unlike the set the crowd pack 50 yards away

The old Buffalo Auditorium Center where the Sabres used to play was fricking insane… you think those pics are right on top of the action?

Look how steep this shite is….

eta: I remember going to a game as a kid and it was terrifying

I thought Fenway was really cool in person. Very Nostalgic.

Yeah, um, Fenway may have been a semi-dump in the 80s or 90s, but ever since the Current ownership took over in the early 00s, they pumped a ton of magic and resources back into that building.

It's absolutely one of the best sporting venues in North America and an incredible in-person experience, especially when you incorporate the neighborhood around the stadium. The entire experience is like a time warp, in the best way possible.

It's like to a baseball cathedral.

The Rangers 1st venue, Arlington Stadium never looked great on TV or in person, but I miss sitting in the outfield watching and listening to guys reacting to hot chicks walking across the bottom of the upper deck. That walkway went all the way from foul line to foul line. That layout, and beer being cheaper than some bars out there, guaranteed at least one fight per game too.

Candlestick Park for football. The lights at night gave off a star wars vibe.

park was trash for baseball also. the spot were they built it by the bay created mini wind tunnels/tornados in certain spots of the stadium. an engineering disaster and a true shithole all around.

Texas Stadium looked like a palace on TV. It was one of the biggest dumps I have ever been to in person. I was shocked how bad it was.

I remember the first time I drove by it when I moved to Dallas. I was like “wait, the cowboys play THERE?!”

There two types of people in this world. People that recognize the greatness that is Fenway and then there’s people that have sex with men for money.
