Why can't people have dialogue about complicated issues
Most things are not cut and dry like you want. There's a lot of layers to this
Everyone in the NFL is "lucky" to have a job. That's irrelevant to the conversation

Pretty sure the state can still pursue charges even without charges from the abused spouse They are less likely to because it's harder to convict.
Gotcha, they just made it sound like the girl made a choice not to and that was the end of it

If he was suspended for the charge and the outcome of the trial didn't matter, why was he paid a years salary and put on the commish list all year? If the outcome didn't matter he should've been automatically suspended
I don't get the holding pattern they put him in for, in their words was in honor of due process, if the outcome of the trial was not significant
I agree totally. But this is the NFL. Nothing they do makes sense sometimes. From the "bounty" shite, to Ray Rice, to AP, and now this. There is nothing consistent about what they do or how they see things. Its really stupid for an organization this big to be this all over the place.

She definitely made a choice not to cooperate but it's complicated. The DA has some options but it seems he didn't press it in this case.

You're obviously not familiar with the details of the situation.
Actually, I am. Living in Dallas you would have to avoid live TV altogether to not be somewhat familiar with the situation.
And once again I say - 10 games (plus last seasons suspension) for a guy who isnt even going to be charged - is absurd.

Oh. Ok. He beats the shite out of his SO (more than once), gets suspended with pay, the state drops the charges because SO refuses to cooperate and he gets to keep his job?
You're right. It's not luck. It's bullshite. Who else would get to keep their job after shite like that happens? But he's a great player so screw it.

I don't really care if Hardy ever plays again but the league is drunk when it comes to dishing out punishment and continually makes or revises the rules as it goes. Goodell just tarnishes the credibility of the shield more and more each day.

And I wouldnt have much of a problem with this except the NFL just said they believe he hit her more than once.
WTF

You should be mad at the judicial system, not the people saying that the NFL is overstepping and over zealous in their arbitrary punishment system

Gotta say I agree with Florio here. Paid leave is, in fact, an actual punishment for players.

That's how I've felt also. He already sat out all last year. He's served missed time. Make him pay a fine for 6 game checks or whatever and let him play. In no way do I condone what he did, but he's basically sitting out 26 games now for this incident

Or, maybe place some blame on the woman who was the alleged victim yet refused to cooperate. She has SOME blame in this - I dont care what he paid her. Cops cant exactly do their job without victim cooperation usually.

He would be doing 26 years in prison for this if he wasn't a rich athlete that had the money to pay the broad off.

Greg Hardy is paying for Ray Rice's punch. Thanks Goodell.
