Lebron is head and shoulders above everyone else.

Lebron hypothetically as a football player isn't purely based on physical merit. Remember he was a bad arse WR in high school until he gave it up to focus on hoops. There is a track record.

I remember reading about Urban Meyer recruting LeBron to ND, and I think OSU did as well.

I can only find his basketball rivals profile, can't see the FB one.

Nate Robinson too, I believe.

I saw Nate Robinson play football at UW once. Basketball worked out a bit better, though

Never saw NR play football (or it didn't register with me that I was watching him, more likely ).

And thanks for the reminder about LeBron's football past, lob

Like I said, I'm not doubting that LeBron would succeed (I think he'd be a nightmare to cover @ TE). Just pointing out that even freak measurables do not necessarily an elite pro athlete make.

How could I forget Graham! He'd make a beast power forward. Maybe a Kennith Faried type if he sheds a couple pounds

Maybe because he actually has played power forward in college

I think PP would be a better athlete than some are giving him credit for though. Can you imagine him in basketball? I'm thinking he'd be a Westbrook clone, based on athletic ability and size alone

Westbrook has a good 3 inches on PP

People don't realize how tall basketball players really are, especially the guards who look small on the court

LeBron is the obvious choice
Westbrook, rose, wall, rondo, pretty much every pg in the NBA
PP7
Calvin Johnson
Blake Griffin
Cam Newton

This.

Good rule of thumb: if they look tiny, they're your size; if they look normal sized, they'd tower over your arse

Exactly. Chris Paul looks like a midget on the court, and he'd be on the taller side of a normal group of guys hangin out

Same thing with Tony Parker. Kinda drives home the fact that there was no way my short arse was ever going to become a pro bball player, no matter how much I dreamed

Yea, it's funny to think back to your elementary, junior high school, or even high school basketball team. You realize the guy who was the power forward/center was like 6'2 but he was a giant out there at the time

LeBron would be one of the top TEs in the league if he would have chose football over basketball.

Imagine the jump ball and fade route to Lebron James.

A QB could throw it 14 feet in the air and just let Lebron go get it.

He could also BLOW by CBs in a go route with his strides and length. First 10 steps no, but a 50 yard route, the guy is getting by anyone much like Calvin.

It's pretty simple, LeBron would be a taller version of Calvin Johnson. About 3 inches taller. And Calvin is already unguardable

Here's the article on Patrick Peterson:

LINK

quote:

There's not much he can't do. He's one of those guys, if it wasn't football, then baseball maybe or another sport. He's that type of talent and athlete. -Carson Palmer

quote:

Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians believes the first-round pick out of LSU has the potential to be a top-five NFL wideout.

And he's not scratch. 8 months ago he was an 8 handicap and I remember reading recently he's lowered it to 4. He taught himself without playing on a course very much. Watching online and hitting balls in his basement.

quote:

Peterson taught himself golf in two years by watching online videos and reading about Tiger Woods. Moreover, he has an 8 handicap. For those who don’t know golf, an 8 handicap is very good for someone who has only been playing the sport for two years.

Also, Arians said he had the second strongest arm on the team behind Palmer and that he had the second strongest leg on the team behind Jay Feely. (looking for article on that)

Guy is a freak of nature and could've played any sport he set his mind to.

Here's another article that talks about how in 1 game he threw a pass, caught a pass, and had to guard Megatron on defense. LINK

Pat is so naturally gifted. He showed up as a freshman at LSU already weighing 200+ lbs as a corner. All he really did in highschool was push ups and situps. He was squatting over 500 lbs his first summer in LSU's strength program. Crazy for a corner back. He really doesn't look like he's over 220 lbs to me because of how he holds his weight.

Another note on Lebron that adds to his football potential is the fact he's a one legged jumper. Doesn't seem like a big deal but being able to jump off one leg is way more useful in game situations (in either sport) than guys who always jump off 2 feet.

I know I'm a big time homer but I'd add Julio Jones into the discussion. If he could just stay healthy...

Westbrook is an underrated athlete, IMO. That dude is a fricking monster. I would love to know what his 40 yard dash time is

I don't think that's being a homer at all. Julio is definitely an elite athlete. This picture of him always blows my mind.

I mean for god's sake, LOOK AT THAT.
