I did not see that. What a TPOS. I'm interested to know if Baylor has a liaison like UT did. Briles had to have known. I'd like to go on record to say Frick the entire state of Texas sports programs except San Antonio. The trashiest set of teams the earth has ever known.

Like I said, something needs to happen. If I had to guess it needs to be probation with a post-season ban. The thing is though, is that to my knowledge something like this has never happened. Can the NCAA just shut a program down because of actions that less than 10 players did? I know it happened with basketball here in Waco, but they also killed a guy.

This is such an odd thing to say. First of all id sure as hell hope that <10 players per team are involved in rape. I'd say when that number becomes more than 0 you have a problem on your hands. When it gets to more than one within 1 year then you've got an epidemic.

Second it isn't punishing the act it's punishing the program's response to said act.
There's two separate issues at play here.

My how times have changed at Baylor, 30 years ago no dancing on campus was allowed but now rape is ok with the administration.

It's ridiculous that I can't argue with this statement.

What is most frustrating about this are the stories that come out from other universities where they are expelling students for situations that clearly do not look like sexual assault (one where the girl told the school she wasn't assaulted by the student) without due process.

And in this situation we have the complete opposite. Mattress girl walks around campus lying and she's a hero while a guy's life is ruined. These girls are told to adjust their schedule to avoid their assailants. Stupidity all around by these administration's and too little rational middle-ground approaches.

It seems to me that there was a lot of institutional control during that time at Baylor, albeit a complete shady, immoral, negligent and unjust type of criminal control.

Yep. Schools are in a tough tough position. Baylor actually has a former football player publicly stating that he plans to sue the school for kicking him out for sexual assault even though he was never charged.

At the exact same moment, Baylor is being criticized (rightfully so) for the way it handled its current players accused of sexual assault.

Rape is okay, but no drinking

This seems like a group of players running amuck with administrator and coach complicity... is some of the permissiveness out of a sense that women who drink deserve to be raped? You know, the "don't start no trouble, there won't be no trouble" kind of reasoning people apply in some situations.

Dunlap, the writer for Orangebloods that got that Oakman report, states that he can prove that the university knew about Oakman's 2013 incident. Waco PD says that there is "no indication" that the school was notified. Will be interesting to see what Dunlap releases.

That number is nine. As in, at least nine women have reported to police they were raped or assaulted by Baylor football players since 2009.
