Seriously though, you don't have to play for a coach to know he's a piece of shite.
For example: no amount of white knighting by Stephen McGee can cover up the fact that Dennis Franchione is gutter trash.

I respect that you have actually met and spent time with Art. Maybe he isn't intentionally covering this up, but at a bare minimum he is woefully ignorant of the status his program, which is also grounds to be terminated. How can there be this many incidents and he does nothing yet he skates by?

If there was a distinct definition for that, this has to be it. I definitely agree with that.
Like I said, something needs to happen. If I had to guess it needs to be probation with a post-season ban. The thing is though, is that to my knowledge something like this has never happened. Can the NCAA just shut a program down because of actions that less than 10 players did? I know it happened with basketball here in Waco, but they also killed a guy.
I mean there's only been one conviction, right?. Don't you have to let the courts settle this first? I think it would be a terrible precedent to put out there to punish the program based off of one guilty sexual assault charge.
Regardless, the school not doing shite is obviously a terrible look.

I am very much aware that he was not a player at Penn State. However the precedent that very few with ties to the program committing heinous acts and being protected seemingly by both the coaches and administration very much fits the bill for what has occurred at Baylor.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that one guy molesting literally dozens of kids over a pretty long time is a bit more heinous compared to two convicted football players that sexually assaulted women their own age.
Both disgusting, but even the prison systems hold child molesters as lesser individuals.

But the biggest travesty of this, and where Briles and his staff are at fault, is that Briles took a risk on kids with a history. Oakman was kicked out of Penn State for shoplifting and then assaulting the cashier. Ukwachwu was kicked out of Boise State for allegations of domestic violence. And of course these guys found themselves in trouble yet again after briles gave them a 2nd chance.
Even worse, after new incidents involving these players arose in Waco, they both remained on scholarship and on campus with other students. That is the worst part of this.

I'm not arguing which is more heinous. Both sets of acts were conducted with the person(s) receiving more protection than the victim. Both showed that the University held athletics higher than a vulnerable part.of the school/community. The precedent is very comparable.
Comparatively not baking a homosexual a cake and not allowing a homosexual in a business are different degrees of injustice, but both fall under the same precedent in regards to commerce and civil rights.
