GH fills a lot of holes in the Celtics lineup

This has been a hilarious thread of NBA hot takes.
Also severe lack of GH wife. Absolute dime. Top 5 hottest in the league easy.

Not saying he's a superstar, but he's a star player with potential to be a superstar
He's really good. We had a player ranking thread on this board a few days ago and I ended up putting him 15th. Good offensively and solid on defense. Jazz had a really slow paced offense, but with something more uptempo I believe his number will go up quite a bit.

He can create good shots for himself and will benefit from Celtics pace and space
His best attribute will be taking a ball screen with the shot clock running down and getting a good look for himself. Too often that fell on crowder and he would take awful shots.

He's also very good at getting to the FT line

Yeah and CBS knows how to use him best
Good signing and opens up a lot of options for the Celtics

While Hayward isn't exactly "The Great White Hope". He will be an excellent addition to this team. He upgrades this team to at least not get swept by the Cavs in the playoffs.
Plus Hayward is only just entering his prime, assuming Tatum and Brown progress and reach their potential. The Celtics are in a great spot to run the east when the Cavs fall off in a few short years. E

CelticDog is glad.
Hope springs eternal.
I like the tatum pick too. He is so ssslick.
I am already obsessing about the nets and laker picks. "Be here now". Ok, yippee Gordon.

I seem to remember someone saying he was a lock to the Heat...

And he plays defense. He's next best wing after George, Giannis, and Butler.
As far as wings go:
LeBron
Durant
Kawhi
George
Giannis
Butler
Hayward

quote:Tatum is taller than Hayward
Hayward is taller than all of the Celtics wing defenders, better defender than all except for Bradley, though Crowder is solid. Hayward also stretches the floor

I'm not a Celtics fan but it's great to see new(old) teams rise back to prominence
They were relevant five years ago. Why not root for teams that never won like the Kings, Pacers, Grizzles, etc?
