I'll probably be in the minority with this opinion, but I do think he has gotten a ridiculous amount of unwarranted hate.
It would be one thing if he were a loudmouth like Lavar Ball, but he's the opposite.
This is a bit of a stretch though.

He's actually been a really good player and seems like a nice guy, but he wavers and goes back and forth like a baby every decision he's ever made. I'm leaving Orlando, I'm not leaving Orlando, maybe I'll leave Orlando. Hes a 30 something year old man who is supposed to be a professional. I almost start to feel bad for him and then he pulls some baby shite and I change my mind.

Dwight is the epitome of a guy who looks bad every time he opens his mouth. I bet that of all the NBA stars right now, he would score by far the lowest on an IQ test.

I don't even think that Dwight is really hated. He's just in a land of irrelevant big men in the NBA. The problem is, he tried to be alpha his whole career. Carrying that '09 Magic squad was impressive, but he hasn't done anything of significance since, except complain about his situation repeatedly. Well, unfortunately, that's life.

The guy is a big goof. But he pretty much guarantees his team an over .500 record and a trip to the playoffs. I'm picking the Hornets as a top 3 team in the East this year, since they added him (and had tons of injuries last year). I hope he has a monster year..

Maybe, but it all started with his desire to get SVG fired. If he wouldn't have gone behind the scenes and done that, then gone to LA, he would be much more liked.
His actions were also kind of funny when he was 20. Now they just look immature.
