He's making a valiant effort to push into that elite tier of terrible sports posters on this board.

Ben Simmons is the better prospect and more coveted. Lol people that think he wouldn't go 1st in this draft

Simmons looks timid or uninvolved.
I would not have him on my team.

To be fair, Johnny Jones made his arse quit.

I think it's very close but would probably go Simmons. His skill set is extremely rare. Both will be very good though I think

Simmons cant shoot from 12 to 23 feet.

Markell shoots ft at 64%.

I am not going to waste a top three pick on a guy with a glaring hole in his game.

And simmons does not play with fire.

It's a bold strategy to forfeit your top 3 pick every year but you seem like you know what you're doing.

Then you would have passed on LeBron too.
quote:

Weakness: At this point in his career his defense isn't the best but he does have the physical tools to be an outstanding defender... Has a bad habit of overplaying his man for the quick steal which can leave his player open for the easy shot... Struggles on the free throw line, however getting a free throw routine and experience would be of great benefit to him, plus establishing a sharper mental focus ... His ball handling ability is very good at the high school level, however he still needs work on maintaining better ball protection and has a tendency to get careless ... Perimeter shooting from mid-range isn't as developed as his long-range shooting ... Doesn't exploit his body size enough as his post-up game offensively remains unutilized ... Sometimes he can be a little too flashy at times as he gets caught up in the moment... His shooting off the dribble leaves a little to be desired from 18 feet out... Some have questioned if he has bought into all the hype about himself but to his credit it takes a certain level of brashness to handle it all ... Not a blindingly quick player so lateral quickness on defense should be worked on ...

67% FT shooter coming out of high school.

Are you saying they all have holes in game?
I dont have to forfeit. I can trade to someone willing to gamble that the spirit of hornsby invades simmons in the off season and he suddenly plays with bill russell like intensity.

It's easily Ben Simmons. Simmons would be the best player in this draft. Although, I'm not sure the Celtics would draft Ben seeing as fultz would be a better option for them.
Simmons is the better player. I cant wait for him to finally step on a court.

Isaiah Thomas sucked at free throws in college too. Now he's one of the best in the NBA. Most young guys suck at free throws.

Fultz is a more skilled Brandon Roy. Similar styles, but Fultz is more athletic, a better shooter, and a better passer. My only complaint with Fultz is that he was not clutch. Any time UW needed a big shot at the end of the game, he took it and missed.

Simmons is a 6'11 guy who can get a triple double on the reg in the NBA if 76ers get some shooters. He had ZERO jumpshot in college, and all accounts are that he has practiced shooting nonstop since joining the NBA. Those who think he won't be able to knock down 20 footers consistently are fooling themselves.

6'11 guys who are perhaps the fastest on the court, with the best handles, and the best vision are RARE. Yes, Fultz is good, but there are LOTS of good guard scorers. There are very few Point Forwards with the skillset that Simmons possesses.

Last but not least, he had Johnny Jones as a coach. We all know now how pathetic CJJ was/is. It makes Ben that much more impressive. If he played with a competent coach, a decent team, he would have thrived. As it was, he just basically broke a ton of SEC records

Simmons. Because passing is still the #1 skill in basketball

How often does the supposed best player in the draft lead his college team to such a shitty season?

Think about this, DWade got two white guys from Marquette to look good enough to get drafted, and led his team to a final four. Similar story for Melo. Fultz lead his team to a 9-22 record. They were embarrassed when they played good teams. We are witnessing with Kawhi how important one guy can be to a team. So is Fultz really worthy of being #1?
